 Mr. Monroe is the Director Of Investigations/Qualified Manager of W.A. Monroe & Associates Security Consulting And Investigations. Mr. Monroe was born in Connecticut, and after graduating high school began a career in the Security Police Career field with the United States Air Force.

 

During his 21 years of service with the Air Force,  Mr. Monroe served in several law enforcement and Security capacities including: canine handler, trainer, kennel master, Security Force Supervisor, Patrol Supervisor, Desk Sergeant, Federal Executive and Dignitary Protection Detail Supervisor, Special Investigations Joint Drug Enforcement Team member, Anti-Terrorism Response Team Leader, and Department of Defense Vulnerability and Risk Assessment Team Leader.  Mr. Monroe is a diligent and highly skilled investigations professional.

 

Mr. Monroe is a consummate professional, with a proven track record providing expert security and investigative consulting.  Over the last 12 years, he has provided expert consulting services to investigations professionals and attorneys across the nation in private practice, as well as, both state and federal public defender organizations.

 

 Mr. Monroe has provided expert consulting services to our clients in the areas of implementation of the industry standard Component Method of Investigation and Case Management, expert investigative opinion, investigative case reviews, discovery analysis, coaching and training procedures, and developing investigative strategy.  Some particular areas of concentration include analyzing investigations procedures, writing investigative reports and opinions of findings, and assisting our clients with the management of large high profile investigative cases that require multiple phases and working parts.

Mr. Monroe is a Criminal Defense Investigation Training Council (CDITC) board trained and certified Criminal Defense Investigator CCDI.  He is also a CDITC board trained and certified Forensic Science Investigator (CFSI).  Mr. Monroe also holds a CDITC certification credential as a board trained and certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI-FTER), specializing in the Forensic Testimonial Evidence Recovery method of interviewing.  Mr. Monroe completes 12-24 Continued Learning and Education (CLE) credits per year.

Mr. Monroe serves on the Executive Council and Faculty and Training Advisory Board as a Distinguished Member, instructor and speaker, for the Criminal Defense Investigation Training Council (CDITC).  Mr. Monroe teaches the National Defense Investigators Academy and the industry standard Component Method of Criminal Defense Investigation. Mr. Monroe provides specific expert instruction, public speaking and lecturing, in the areas of, philosophy and methodology of investigation, legal defenses and theories, and ethics. Mr. Monroe has provided expert investigative opinion, in both state and federal court matters.

 

Serves as the Ethics And Professional Standards Chair, and Chair of the Peer Review Committee for the The California Center For Investigative Study (CCFIS), which  is a community composed of passionate investigators, practitioners, consultants, forensic experts, legal experts, educators, lecturers, public speakers, and learners, committed to promoting and elevating the discipline of Criminal Defense and due process investigation.

 

Mr. Monroe is a highly skilled Investigative Forensic Criminologist, who is extremely effective in the most stressful situations and possesses well-developed administrative and organizational skills, with the unparalleled ability to effectively prioritize and manage a broad range of investigative responsibilities and functions.  He ensures that objective, fair, and legal methods are utilized to facilitate our clients, by providing factual, procedurally sound, investigation consultation. 

 

Mr. Monroe holds an Associate of Science degree (AS) from the Community College Of The Air Force in Police Science/Industrial Security.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Ashford University in Social and Criminal Justice.  Mr. Monroe holds a Master's of Science degree (MS) in Criminal Justice with a specialization in Forensic Science from Ashford University.  Mr. Monroe is currently completing his postgraduate doctoral work, pursuing a Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD) in Criminology with a concentration in Justice Studies from The University of Arizona Global Campus.
